Meet Dr. Tanya Paukner
DVM
Dr. Paukner grew up in the Hudson Valley, New York, and developed an early passion for animal care after spending her summers at a local farm. One of her earliest experiences in the veterinary field was working as an assistant at an integrative veterinary practice in South Salem, where she developed an interest in acupuncture.
She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with honors from SUNY Purchase College, and attended veterinary school at St. George's University. Then after completing a successful clinical year at North Carolina State University, she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Paukner completed her acupuncture training and pain management coursework with Chi University, including over 30 hours of small animal internship experience. She has a strong interest in chronic pain management and feline medicine and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to her patients. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys travel and hiking with her dog Lana.
