Meet Dr. Khadijah Martin
DVM
Dr. Khadijah Martin was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She has relocated to the Hudson Valley a few years ago. Since the age of 6, she aspired to become a veterinarian. She attended Virginia State University to obtain her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriculture with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Martin was very active in a number of student organizations, particularly the holistic club and plans to study integrative animal care.
Dr. Martin is currently a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Omega Tau Sigma Fraternity, Inc., American Veterinary Medical Association, and the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.
Prior to joining the team, Dr. Martin practiced at a corporate hospital for 4 years. She is passionate about fostering long-term client/patient relationships. She believes in taking her time to build lasting relationships and understanding each pet’s individual needs.Her interests include preventive medicine, dermatology, education, and Fear Free practices. Dr. Martin is passionate about continuing education and staying current with advances in veterinary medicine, so she can provide the highest quality medical care for every pet.
In her spare time, Dr. Martin loves spending time with her family and her American Staffordshire Terrier, Nala. She enjoys traveling, attending concerts, crafting, gardening, and cooking.
She is excited to be a part of Hudson Highlands Medical Group and getting to know our clients and their fur babies!
