Dr. Kalba

A Tully, New York native, Dr. Holly Kalba has been employed in the animal field for 20+ years. She started with us here at Hudson Highlands as a full-time general practitioner in 2006. A dean's list and Alpha Chi Honor Society member at Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin, it is no surprise that Dr. Kalba continued her academic excellence in veterinary school.

With her Biology degree in hand, she began her veterinary studies at the College of Veterinary Medicine of New York State at Cornell University. A Baker and Baukage Scholarship recipient, Dr. Kalba graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Her professional interests include neo-natal critical care, senior care and a particular interest in ultrasound.

Dr. Kalba is active in the local community giving talks for various audiences ranging from clients to children's groups. Along with her husband Shaun, a pilot, she has two children Thomas, 6, and Margaret (aka Maggie), 5. A member of the Pleasant Valley PTA and active participant with the Cub Scouts, it is amazing that Dr. Kalba can find extra time! Gardening, hiking, fishing and photography bring her extra pleasure when she is able to do each with her family. Family time also includes giving love and affection to the family's two pets: Harley, a three legged, elderly, rescued dog and Baby Spiker Kitten, also a rescue, but in the "youngest" spot, eager to keep everyone on their toes!
